Walter Douthett, 25, charged with stabbing his mother to death and threatening a paramedic, was ruled insane by Dist. Court Judge Paul Goldman. Typhoon Babe Targets Okinawa Amid Strong Winds
Typhoon Babe, the fiercest Japan threat in 18 years, bears down on Okinawa with 123 mph winds. It is slated to pass near Miyako Island about Friday morning before moving north toward Okinawa, where U.S. forces number around 46,500. Babe’s center was 394 miles south of Naha at 9 am local, moving north at 15.6 mph.
