Bonanza Hotel dispute ends with cash settlement

Nathan Jacobson and Howard S. Levin announced an agreement ending the Bonanza Hotel dispute. Jacobson relinquishes the hotel presidency in exchange for a cash settlement of 475000 dollars. Levin spoke as president of the Levin Town group in the joint statement from the Bonanza executive suite.

Dove survivor saved after 7-foot water-filled well ordeal

Sammy Gardner barely survived a weekend trapped in a covered seven-foot-deep well near an unoccupied farmhouse in Collin County Texas. She was dumped into the 15-foot-deep well on Saturday and kept afloat by bracing against the wall and using her legs. Two hunters heard her screams Monday and alerted authorities. The assault charge against Frank Att Reese arises from the attack and confinement in the well as the dove hunting season opened on Labor Day.
