City commissioners on Wednesday night, advised by city attorney Sidney Whitmore, extended the towing contract by one month to Nov 25 while drafting new specifications. The rotation system remains for those meeting Oct 25 qualifications under a two year framework. Vic Havas bid over 24 000 last May but a restraining order blocked awarding.
Ten members of the city plumber examining board were reappointed for one year by Las Vegas city commissioners on Wednesday night. The appointees are Robert Eads Robert Hall Marvin Shafer Walter Casey Thomas Rubidoux Miles R. Ney Ivan Curtis Orville Bauer Owen Nitz and Dan Larkin. Their terms would have expired November 3.
