Scout Building Payment OK'd By NSW Council
North Las Vegas City Council approved paying the Lions Club 4192.32 for the Scout Building near the Fun Center amid objections over a larger city share. The council declined any obligation to use state proceeds from Fun Center sale for the Lions while noting the building was a community project with volunteer work. Ed Lysek and John Bonner urged more funds for a new Scout facility as the Lions seek a meeting place. Former mayor Ken Reynolds traced the building’s history from its recreation goals to its completion.
