Family backs out of Point Reyes land swap rumor
Real estate expert for the U S Park Service told the Sun the A W Sweet family, owners of Point Reyes property, backed out of a land swap to give Clark County $2 million in exchange for county land. The deal now centers on Dr Millard Ottinger and Sayles Turney owning 2473 acres at Point Reyes to swap for Clark County acreage. A timetable was set for bids on an emergency loan November 20 with escrow December 8 and closing early next year.

Las Vegas Couple Injured in US 93 Roll Over
A Las Vegas man Samuel Stover 38 and Virginia Perry 42 were seriously injured in a one car rollover 25 miles north of Las Vegas on U S 93. Stover drove the vehicle and Perry was a passenger. Both were admitted to Southern Nevada Memorial Hospital with head chest injuries. NHP said Stover lost control at high speed hit the shoulder and the car flipped. No citation issued pending investigation.

California Man Receives Five Year Prison Term
Roy Lee Pittman aged 47 of Santa Maria was sentenced in federal court to five years in prison for interstate transportation of a stolen motor vehicle. He was charged with moving a stolen car from Santa Barbara to Las Vegas on March 13.
