Murderer Gets Gas Chamber for Lake Isabella Killing
David Rudy Martinez a 26 year old San Jose man was sentenced to die in the gas chamber by Kern County Superior Court after a jury convicted him of the kidnapping rape robbery and murder of Joan Cecile Peart 21 from Lake Isabella. The panel recommended the death penalty and Judge Walter Osborn Jr. imposed it. Martinez showed little emotion at sentencing.

Stock Fraud Trial Ends With Guilty Verdicts
A Utah federal court found two Golden Rule Associates officials guilty on nine counts of conspiracy fraud and selling unregistered stock in the International Chemical Development Corp scheme. Cardall and Parks await sentencing while bail was set at 150000 and 100000 respectively. The indictment also named International Chemical Development Corp and William L. Allen who pleaded guilty. Sentencing for all parties is pending.
