The Housing Authority of Clark County ha s added 100 leased units bringing total authorized apartments to 300. HUD funds raise the pool to 346210 dollars to lease privately owned units outside incorporated cities. Preferences target displaced families veterans and those in substandard housing with leases of at least three years and options to buy. Dr. John L. OHarra, director of Nevada's Division of Animal Industry, was installed as president at the 72nd annual U S Livestock Sanitary Association meeting in New Orleans. The organization promotes meat and dairy safety and coordinates livestock laws and disease control among producers, regulators, and researchers. Dr. OHarra is the second Nevada vet to hold the post following Dr. Edward Records of Reno in 1935.

Veteran 13 year old burglar hits East Charleston area

Gov. Paul Laxalt praised Jay Sarno and associates as imaginative creators and developers of the Circus Circus Casino on Las Vegas Strip and proclaimed seven days beginning Friday as Circus Circus Premiere Week.
