Reno financier Evans indicted in New Mexico fraud case
Ben F. Evans former president of the defunct Great West Savings and Loan Association in Reno was indicted by the Bernalillo County grand jury on fraud and embezzlement charges. He faces embezzlement and defrauding depositors in a case tied to a $500 000 deposit loss and a $592 000 banking department deficit amid the receivership of the S&L.
