The national commander's press conference will be at 4 30 pm in the Sands Emerald Room as Legionnaires arrive from the U S and abroad. Main public highlight is Sunday a six hour National Convention Parade from the Convention Center to Cashman Field with Drum and Bugle Corps judging at 7 pm.

Bartender Dies by Self Inflicted Gunshot in Las Vegas
Police report Vern Lamme, 38, unemployed bartender, shot himself at 417 North 14th Street around 6 45 p m. The 30 08 rifle was used and he apparently aimed at his heart. Investigators say despondence over a quarrel with his ex wife may have contributed.
