Clark County Announces Summer Elementary Enrichment Courses
Clark County School District identifies sites Vegas Verdes FE Griffith Walter Bracken and Robert E Lake for summer enrichment. Courses include science enrichment art drama ceramics French activities primary activities and a summer band program. Tuition is 40 per student with 20 for the band. classes run June 17 to July 26.

Concert Features Ernie Bolognini First Cellist With LV Symphony
Ernie Bolognini, famed cellist and former South American welterweight boxing champion, will appear as First Cellist with the Las Vegas Symphony Society Orchestra in its premier concert at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Born Buenos Aires November 7, 1893, he studied cello from a young age and debuted in Prince George Hall at 12. He moved to the U.S. in 1923 as a sparring partner for Luis Firpo and later led orchestras and performed with major Las Vegas ensembles, often conducting from memory.
