County considers carpet plan for McCarran Airport
Public areas at McCarran Airport may be carpeted under a bid proposal approved by the county commissioners. Airport Manager Erle Taylor seeks a prime contract for maintenance including floor carpet installation currently covered with asbestos or rubber tiles. Existing $100000 annual contract with Aircraft Services International would be replaced by a carpeting package aiming to reduce maintenance costs by about $40000 yearly and lower personal injury suits.
