Longtime Overton Woman Dies
Catherine Bowman 9 of Overton died at home Saturday. She was a homemaker who came to Overton in 1900 born June 6 1878 in Bever Utah. Services will be 12 30 p m tomorrow in the Bever 3rd Ward Chapel with Bishop Howard Bradshaw officiating Burial will be in Bever Cemetery Spillsbury Mortuary in charge Survivors include six daughters Eva Whormhorn Salt Lake City Zoe Talbot Oregon City Maxine Staley New Mexico Dorothy Lyon Overton Carol Santos Visalia Janice Little Sacramento and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services are pending for Patrick Leon fourteen who died from injuries after a one car crash Sunday in North Las Vegas. The incident on Highland Avenue near Alexander Street sent three youths to hospitals including driver John Black sixteen with head cuts and possible internal injuries Randy Guzman thirteen with head injuries.

Dedication ceremonies are planned tomorrow for the largest Nevada rest area on U S 93 near Boulder City. The $211000 project was built under a Nevada Highway Department contract with Wells Cargo Inc and will be turned over to Boulder City for maintenance after the 1 p m ceremony.
