Nationwide Mortgage Prices Set by Free Market Auction

The Federal National Mortgage Association announced the first weekly auction under its Free Market System for pricing government backed mortgages on the secondary market. The average accepted prices were 91.69 for 90 day, 91.90 for 180 day, and 92.53 for one year commitments, versus 94 to 93 under the previous fixed price system.

National Apartment Association Convening in Las Vegas

About 2000 delegates are expected for the National Apartment Association Conference in Las Vegas October 13 to 16. The event titled Apartment Opportunities The New Giant features 16 workshops a design discussion and a Los Angeles area tour.
