The 1963 Henderson Industrial Days parade and carnival recall a windy week with colorfully lit rides, pink snow cones, and crowding crowds. Highlights include the cow milking contest, Lucky Legs Contest, the Fireman Save My Child melodrama directed by Bob Bridgewater, and a float by Henderson Telephone Co with Miss Barbara Jackson. Notable figures include Hershel Trumbo as parade marshal on Shamarr, Donna Oxford in beauty finals, and local students in the Henderson Junior High entry. The event also marked nationwide direct dialing planned by the telephone company in February 1964.
