Divers race to recover two teens from Devil's Hole
Beginning at 6 a.m. Monday more than 70 dives by 44 certified divers sought to locate David Rose, 20, and Paul Giancontieri, 19, who vanished after entering the underground lake at Devil's Hole. A final dive was planned for 10 p.m. Tuesday as volunteers offered to explore a newly found finger recess. The youths’ mothers were told to abandon hope as authorities pressed on with the perilous search in 9 degree water.
