North Las Vegas to fund health inspections from general fund
City council members voted to have Clark County District Board of Health inspections for sanitation paid from the general fund instead of renewing a private bill requiring business owners to cover the cost. Councilman John Myers had pressed for a state funded solution but the legislature adjourned leaving local officials to absorb the expense for the 1985 66 year. The move aligns with Las Vegas and Boulder City practices while Henderson already lacks a district health ordinance.
