MGM Reno financing plan approved by state board
The Nevada State Gaming Control Board recommended MGM Corp sell 90 million dollars in notes and debentures to fund a Reno hotel casino project after prior approvals for ownership changes. Nursing Home Fire Kills Four Seniors in Roanoke
A six story Shenandoah Nursing Home in Roanoke County was hit by a fire early today killing four elderly residents and injuring at least 17. Patients were evacuated on stretchers and wheelchairs as fire units contained the blaze within an hour. A nurse cited smoking in bed as the apparently cause. names of victims withheld pending relatives notification.
