World War I Veterans of Nevada Install Officers at Reno Convention
The third annual Nevada state convention of the Veterans of World War I and its Auxiliary in Reno installed Cordelia Brotherson of Reno as Auxiliary president and Myron Leavitt as department commander. New district commanders were named for Fallon Las Vegas and Elko. Delegates resolved to host next year in Las Vegas and to seek a 1963 or 1964 national convention there. Speakers included Washoe County commissioners Governor Grant Sawyer and the state veterans commissioner. The department membership stands at 763 with 14 barracks statewide.
