Nevada University President Emphasizes State Return
Nevada State Notes during State Bankers convention quote University of Nevada President Charles Armstrong stating the institution’s triple mission of research instruction and public service. He notes six million dollars in state support yields about ten million dollars back to the Nevada economy annually through salaries equipment travel and student spending. He argues this is a strong return on tax-funded investment. Bankers adopt a resolution opposing federal tax cuts unless the deficit is reduced and invite the American Bankers Association to hold its annual convention in Nevada.
