Wall Street rallies on brisk volume amid glamor stock gains

Traders drove a broad market advance with volume rising to 5.81 million shares. The UPI index rose 0.68 percent with 729 gainers. Dow Jones industrials up 3.28 points to 882.62 while standards and Poor's 500 gained 0.57 to 85.50. Trans World Airlines led active list, IBM and electronics names climbed, and Seaboard World and Atlantic Coast Line gained on merger news.

Markets End Mixed In Moderate Thursday Trading

Markets close higher in moderate U S and London sessions as bonds ease in quiet trading. Commodities show mixed moves with Chicago wheat up about four to four and a half cents and oats corn and rye posting small gains or losses. Hogs slip about fifty cents to twenty five cents and cattle and sheep hold steady with tops near historic levels. Dressed pork futures rise to a top around forty dollars and fifty cents per hundredweight.
