Recruiters scour colleges for special education teachers
Clark County School District recruiters led by Richard Brown search colleges in neighboring states since February to hire about 40 new special education teachers for fall. Nineteen have already accepted. The legislature funds $580000 for 33 new units, with one teacher per unit. Additional hires aim to serve about 300 more students next year.
