Leading pathologist Dr. Theodore J. Curphey testified for the state that Rose Mapel Azbill did not die from lethal alcohol or barbiturate levels. The trial of Sylvester J. Azbill, 40, centers on the Dec 27 1967 torch murder of his 60 year old wife, with the defense arguing the death came from her own vices.
North Vietnam’s Dong Hoi port area suffered an unarmed RF4C downing as U S rescue crews retrieved a two man crew. American bombers then launched the first attack on North Vietnam in six months with results to be reported and no details on munitions available.
