Inmate Marvin Jarvis Escapes Nevada Prison Then Captured
A 34 year old inmate at Nevada State Prison escaped by hiding in a laundry truck and was quickly captured on a highway leaving Carson City. Marvin Jarvis, serving six years for ex felon in possession of a firearm and seven more for forgery from Washoe County, was recovered minutes after the escape.

Helicopters Join In Search For 15 Year Old Camper
In Tonopah a large search for Kathy Simon a 15 year old camper continued with about 50 volunteers and two National Guard helicopters aiding. An Nellis AFB helicopter assisted earlier and two more joined with local crews from Tonopah Pahrump and Gabbs. Temperatures dropped to freezing and light snow covered Table Top Mountain as officials pressed the call for any clue to her disappearance.
