May total of Western U S. construction awards reached 1 048129 million, up 2 percent from May 1967 as residential and nonresidential building rose while nonbuilding work fell. Five month totals show a 2 percent year over year gain across Arizona California Colorado Idaho Montana Nevada New Mexico Oregon Utah Washington and Wyoming.
