James E. Keller of El Monte California pounded on the cockpit door at McCarran International Airport and shouted a bomb threat on Air West Flight 701 delaying the Los Angeles bound service. Deputies arrested him for creating an offense on a public conveyance and 34 passengers were moved to another plane while luggage was searched.
Gen. Creighton Abrams reports strong signals that Communist forces plan a renewed push near Saigon, though no timetable is given. Lt. Gen. Do Cao Tri warns of heavy attacks on American bases in the capital zone and notes troops massed north and northwest of Saigon with uncertain leadership and possible defections.
