James Brook, 66, of 702 Morgan Ave., was booked on attempted murder charges after allegedly shooting Louis Tatum, 71, of 821 N H St., who is in serious condition at Southern Nevada Memorial Hospital. Metro Police say the men were arguing.
A Las Vegas man, Louis Tatum, 71, was shot twice in the throat and in serious condition at Southern Nevada Memorial Hospital after an evening quarrel with James Brooks, 66. Brooks was booked on attempted murder charges. neighbors said both were armed and drinking before the incident.
Las Vegas voters approve a uniform housing code plan shifting two housing inspectors to housing counselors in the department of funds coordination and projects. The projects department gains authority over the federal Rehabilitation Loan Project, with three levels of code enforcement and salary raises for two inspectors.
