Julius Nelson 53, stock clerk at Host International Caesars Palace, wins a $2000 shopping spree and nearly 80 $25 certificates in a Sun Christmas bingo contest. He claimed the winning card at 11:15 a.m. Thursday. his wife Doris was notified later, and he plans to redeem the certificates for tires, clothing, and holiday dining at Mint Hotel El Cortez Nancy Austen Fashions Lady Mardens. Nelson, a Bronx native living in North Las Vegas, says it will take months to use all certificates.

Metro police arrested two men, Robert L. Harris and John W. Cherry, in North Las Vegas for three counts of robbery tied to two incidents in hotel casino parking lots.
