New Oil Additive Aims to Halve Smog Emissions
Standard Oil of California unveils F-310 a synthetic concentrate claimed to cut unburned hydrocarbons from 550 to 250 parts per million and reduce carbon monoxide while boosting urban fuel economy by about five percent. Production starts in Richmond California with three gasoline grades slated for Los Angeles and Hawaii and wider rollout planned.
