River Agency Approves Valve Contract for Lake Mead Plant

The River Commission OKs a 254000 contract to General Signal subsidiary River Agency for 96 butterfly valves for a 10 million dollar water treatment plant on Lake Mead shore opposite Saddle Island. Construction runs March to November 1970. study funds and water delivery to Nellis AFB also approved.

Russell Road Project To Start Next Month

Diamond Construction Co. of North Las Vegas secured approval for a 362341 project to build Russell Road from Maple Street to Paradise Road. Work starts early next month and runs to mid June. A 4889 contract with General Concrete Co. funds traffic islands at Civic Center Drive intersections with Carey and Evans Avenues.
