Las Vegas editor notes heavy resistance to Nathan S. Jacobson led Strip Beautification Committee plan. Proposed funding based on property value and frontage, including 90 foot traffic circle fountains, faces concerns about land loss, practicality, and traffic safety.
Brinkley and Braun argue circles can beautify but create bottlenecks and hazards in traffic.
