Stocks Close Higher on Gains in Industrials and GE Utah Merger
On Tuesday the Dow rose 7.71 to 844.30 and the S P 500 gained 0.84 to 88.93 as volume reached 18.35 million on the NYSE. Advancers led decliners 968 to 461 amid hopes for a year end rally and talk of a GE Utah International merger valued around 1.9 billion.
