California employers may gain from unemployment fund cuts
California's unemployment fund could save employers up to 76 million dollars over the next two years as the Department of Employment cites a private actuaries report. Savings depend on continued high employment and low unemployment rates with a 46 million tax cut reducing the base to 3,800 from 4,100. The department notes a 1 million saving in 1967 from higher employer account reserves and forecasts a 20 million tax cut in 1968 due to fund growth.
