Feud Sparks Fatal Shootout at Las Vegas Casino
Police say a four month feud between the Cobb and King families led to a homicide in a downtown Las Vegas casino. Landres King, 34, a Strip kitchen worker, is charged with the slaying of 24-year-old Stanley Cobb, who died from .22 caliber wounds after Cobb’s brothers and a casino guard cornered King as he tried to leave Golden Gate Casino. King reportedly fired multiple shots and then attempted to flee, yielding to officers at the scene. Cobb is Las Vegas’ 62nd homicide victim of 1977 and the third in five days.
