Multi Million Interstate 80 Construction Planned East of Battle Mountain
State Highway Engineer W O Wright announced that a 14.1 mile I 80 US 40 project from 9 to 23 miles east of Battle Mountain will be let in December with bids opened December 20 at Carson City. The $3.6 million project includes 375 working days, 1.6 million cubic yards of earth, 1.0 million tons of gravel, 9500 tons of asphalt, 300 cubic yards of concrete, and 86 million gallons of water.
