A Las Vegas man identified as George Datsun was shot once in the hip during an argument with the woman he lived with. He was listed in good condition at Southern Nevada Memorial Hospital. Police found five expended cartridges at the scene and a neighbor said the woman claimed he had a knife.

Indicted Reno teacher linked to principal murder case
Samuel Knipmeyer, a former Reno teacher and fugitive, was indicted by the Washoe County Grand Jury on one open murder charge in the 1974 slaying of Libby Booth Middle School principal Virgil Ouren. Bail set at 200000 as he remains jailed pending arraignment.
