Northwest area eyed for city trailer park expansion

The City Planning Commission discussed a county land reclassification for a five acre parcel on Balzar Street near Highland Drive to build a trailer court. Director Donald Saylor cited need due to displaced trailers from nearby parks and supported annexation to the city for proper control. Franklin Bills of First Western Savings and Loan supported in-city location. The commission urged county approval with annexation to city.

Nevada Gaming Commission Revokes Victory Club License

The Nevada Gaming Commission revoked the non restricted license for a 21 game at the Victory Club on Boulder Highway near Henderson after cheating charges. Owner Robert Elsen may operate three slots on a six month probationary license pending review. Benjamin Lindsey was found guilty of cheating. The Victory Club closed Aug 26 by emergency order after the Gaming Control Board charged Lindsey with peeking and dealing seconds.
