Defense rests in Hulett murder case over drugs dispute
A district court jury will begin deliberations Friday in the Marvin Lee Hulett murder trial. Prosecutors say Hulett and Chris Larsen burst into Robert Wellman’s 325 N. Decatur Blvd apartment, demanding repayment of a $1,000 marijuana loss, and Wellman was shot as he entered. The defense rested Thursday without calling witnesses, arguing the gun fired accidentally when Wellman bumped the door front.
