Edmund Converse vice chairman of Air West says the company will establish a sub maintenance base and crew headquarters in Las Vegas by September 1. The facility dubbed a Junior overhaul base will add 59 pilots 41 hostesses and 50 mechanics as payroll rises to about 24 million annually. Air West will operate nonstop flights from 11 western points by September 4 expanding regional service amid the Bonanza merger history and service concerns.
