Time and Money Donated by Top Industrialists to Charities
NEW YORK UPI One of the bigger investments by business and professional leaders is not traded on exchanges but in time and donations to philanthropies. Austin V. McClain of Marts & Lundy notes executives work on campaigns, give time and money to education churches and hospitals, with a total philanthropic effort possibly reaching 5 to 10 billion dollars annually if time and talents are counted. He cites top industrialists who regularly attend fund meetings and contribute beyond mere names. He says his firm prioritizes workable campaigns and will refuse projects unlikely to yield returns for causes.
