Gas Corp Gathers At Tahoe Board Meeting Highlights Growth
Southwest Gas Corporation held a quarterly meeting at Lake Tahoe. President W M Laub noted efforts to bring natural gas to the north shore with a 3.5 million dollar project. Gov Grant Sawyer attended a luncheon for state officials and developers as Nevada's population grows 27 percent annually and shifts toward Tahoe Reno Carson City. Seven City Fire Calls In 24 Hours Reported
County and City firemen logged seven alarms by midnight Monday with no Clark County calls. Incidents include a medical rescue for Mrs Hall on Las Vegas Boulevard and multiple vehicle fires on Tonopah Highway Utah Street Boston Avenue and Charleston Boulevard plus a pool injury rescue at a private residence.
