City Officials Call Pay Rise Plea Impossible to Manage
Two city officials say a 175-person payroll cut is not feasible to fund a proposed police and firefighter pay raise if voters approve in November. They outline alternatives, including a 65–70 person fire department cut, a two platoon return, and possible revenue from a utilities franchise tax or state relief next year.
