Visitor From Rialto Renews Friendships

Howell W. Richardson of Rialto California visited Las Vegas and Boulder City renewing old acquaintances. It has been seventeen years since his last visit to Las Vegas. Richardson, an attorney now focused on mining, reports Jess Knight formerly of Goodsprings is succeeding with a Mojave California mining property that operates a 75 ton mill profitably.

Senator McCarran Addresses C of C in Las Vegas

By invitation of the American Legion Senator Pat McCarran spoke on The Constitution at Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce noon meeting. The chamber, after Harvey Luce’s report, urged the city to pass an ordinance like Green River Wyoming to bar house to house canvassing by peddlers and solicitors. Bob Russell gave a vacation wrap up, Walter Bracken announced 800 to 1000 Union Pacific Old-Timers Club members will visit Las Vegas and Boulder City Sunday.
