Nevada forest fire prevention aid expands with new pact
Nevada joined 36 states in forest fire prevention efforts as of July 1 following an agrarian agreement between the Nevada surveyor general and Secretary Hyde. The federal allotment for forest protection next year totals a modest sum while Nevada reports 215000 acres needing protection and private owners spent 2655 on fire protection last year.
