Traffic Ordinance Passed by Council

The Board of City Commissioners approved two new traffic ordinances on their Thursday session. One enforces boulevard stops, tested earlier, and the other limits parking on Fremont Street to one hour from 9 am to 6 pm. Cars downtown must park at forty five degrees with front wheels within two feet of the curb.

Fourth annual tri-state Blue Rock trap shoot in Las Vegas

Three hundred or more shooters from California and Utah travel to Las Vegas for the fourth annual tri state Blue Rock trap shoot. Events include amateur doubles at 10 am and singles at 1 pm Saturday, night shooting at 7:30 pm, team events Sunday at 8 am, and prizes from 15 to 1. Exursions to Valley of Fire and Boulder Canyon dam sites and three baseball games. Banquet prizes awarded Sunday at 6 pm.

Mrs Tomlinson Becomes First San Diego Woman To Fly To Death Valley

W Tomlinson, wife of Lieut Tomlinson of the Aircraft Squadron in San Diego, becomes the first local woman to fly from San Diego to Death Valley and land in a Jenny piloted by her aviator husband. The trip cost about 45 dollars and followed 50,000 miles of previous flights by Tomlinson, who notes air travel is cheaper than car trips for pleasure.

Bingham Takes Agency for Whippet and Willis Knight

R D Bingham announced yesterday afternoon that he has taken the agency for the Whippet and Willis Knight motor cars. Two railroads are already on the way to Las Vegas, two of the Whippet cars having already been sold. The first shipment will include sedans, coaches and cabriolet coupes. Mr Bingham expects another shipment of the cars within a month.

Desertion Tops Causes in District Court Divorces

Six suits filed in the District Court since February show desertion as the main cause in four cases. Deputy Sheriff Recaptures Escaped Convict in Deer Lodge

Deputy Sheriff R. G. McCubrey nabbed Louis Young, an escaped Deer Lodge Prison trustee, at a Clark County telegraph office. McCubrey identified Young from a photo file, verified his identity, and he awaits extradition. A $100 reward was awarded to McCubrey.
