In Los Angeles on December 27 the grand jury ordered an indictment of Leslie B. Henry a noted broker and civic leader after two witnesses testified in a case of forgery and grand theft. The principal witness Mrs Charlotte Shelby mother of actress Mary Miles Minter testified to securities valued at 500000 lost through Henrys alleged manipulation. An auditor testified and prosecutors said they will prepare the indictment for a grand jury vote. Henry is free on 50000 bond.
The 1933 Pontiac debuts as GM’s top option in the low price field. A new straight eight of 223.4 cubic inches with 128 psi compression powers a line of Fisher Body models on a 115 inch wheelbase.
