Power rate to stand Wilbur opening of new Beckley store
Secretary Wilbur maintains the Boulder Dam power price at 1.63 mills per kilowatt hour despite objections from the four upper basin states Colorado, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming. The letter urged an advisory commission to help set power disposition while noting benefits to Southern Nevada from cheap Boulder Dam power. The upper states warn a lower price would favor California over other western regions and call for higher water storage charges for municipal use along California coast.
