Rain Comes At Last To Parched Pacific Coast
San Francisco December 4. After more than four months of drought more than a trace of rain fell in the Sacramento valley today. The storm is expected to spread across California within days easing fire danger and low reservoirs and lifting power concerns as streams and lakes replenish. Farmers and cattlemen had prayed for rain for a week as precipitation since July was minimal and crops delayed.
