Paulton and associates organized the Paulton Oil Co in the Bedell Building San Antonio capitalized at 47000 to take over a 600 barrel producer well on Subdivision 49 Aviators Field The company plans immediate drilling of three more wells and elected W C Paulton president John S Irowbridge vice president Herman Clements secretary treasurer Judge Rochester and Captain Kilburn joined the board The rapid capitalization signals local enthusiasm for Webb county oil fields and a looming Laredo district boom with Kan Oka and other wells producing hundreds to thousands of barrels daily.
Nuevo Laredo becomes the first Mexican city to install natural gas for domestic use. A test fire at Mr. Trevisio’s home marked the launch, with mains from the U.S. side supplying early customers as the gas company extends service citywide.
The Red Cross office in Fort Worth Texas invites Benjamin Bruce Kitchen to communicate for news of interest. It notes Mr Kitchen formerly resided in Arden New York and served in the United States armed forces for a period.
