Laredo Considers Celebration Association for Washington's Birthday

Following a Chamber of Commerce meeting in Ells Hall last evening, Laredo residents plan a formal celebration association to stage a February Washington's Birthday events with carnival features, a grand parade and fireworks. Falconer to Speak at Carnegie Tech Founders Day

Sir Robert A. Falconer, president of the University of Toronto, will be the orator at Carnegie Institute of Technology Founders Day. A Presbyterian clergyman by vocation, he led the Toronto university for fifteen years and previously taught at Halifax. He was born in Prince Edward Island, educated in Berlin and Edinburgh, and received British honors in 1911 and 1917.
