University of Texas historian Dr C E Parker explains the long running Texas New Mexico boundary dispute. Congress must act for the line from 36 30 north to the Rio Grande affecting the Panhandle. San Antonio November 12. A county with a robust roads fund becomes a dynamo of activity. Bexar County once issued 500000 in bonds and built a network of good roads that drew automobile loops from San Antonio to nearby towns. Now Texas considers a 600 mile north south highway from Red River to Rio Grande, born from county road successes.
